Can you picture yourself cycling across a chunk of Canada as part of a sustainable mobile community, offering performances and workshops about environmental and social justice issues along the way? Here are the first steps to do just that:

1. Read Bike Tours 101 to get a good idea of what going on tour is like.

2. Submit your application fee of $25

You will receive a complimentary copy of The Otesha Book: From Junk to Funk when you apply. The fee will be deducted from your project contribution if you are selected to go on tour.

• Option 1: Take your credit card to PayPal. Ensure that you select "1" in the quantity field and that the total is $25. You will need the Transaction ID that PayPal emails you in order to fill out the Bike Tours Application Form. The Transaction ID is found in the upper right corner of the email.

• Option 2: Send a cheque to "The Otesha Project" at 153 Chapel St., Ottawa ON, K1N 1H5. Write "Bike Tour Application Fee -- [Your name]" on the memo line.

If the application fee is a barrier to you applying, please let us know at applications@otesha.ca and we will explore other arrangements.

3. Fill out the Bike Tours Application Form. Note that you can’t save your responses as you go, so you might want to draft responses in a word processor first.

4. The interview. Once you have submitted your application, we will get in touch with you to schedule a chat over the phone to learn more about you and share more about what to expect on tour.

5. Prepare yourself. Once you are accepted on tour we will provide you with a package of information to help you prepare for tour, including help with fundraising and gear.
