Otesha's Organic Affair was a HUGE success!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for your support!

With almost 400 guests and 30 volunteers, there was a lot of Otesha love and support packed into one room. The members of the Otesha community in attendance worked together to consume 47 harvest loaves, over 400 cups of organic fair-trade coffee and raised well over $11,000 during the afternoon tea celebration. 

A special thanks goes to our volunteers from Katimavik, Canada World Youth, students from the Event Management program at Algonquin College and our Otesha O-lumni. From counting dishes and baking for over six hours, to setting tables and serving tea and coffee--we could not have done it without you!

We extend our gratitude to our featured O-lumni, Mike Kozlowski and Jawn Lafratta and our featured O-lumni speaker, Chad Hamre, and special guests Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and Ottawa-Centre Member of Provincial Parliament Yasir Naqvi.

We would also like to thank our supporters at Bridgehead Coffee, Camino (La Siembra), Castor River Farm, Herb & Spice Shop, Market Organics, Rainbow Foods and Shanti Tea for their generous donations.

For all these people and more, we are thankful. Despite all our efforts at the Otesha office, the event is only a success because of the support we receive from the community of people who believe in the work that we do. We are happy and grateful to have you all as part of the Otesha family.
